DOUG CASE | HEAD COACH
We are pleased to celebrate Coach Case in his 21st season as Head Coach. His goal is to ensure his players work hard and enjoy the rewards of their success, and his best moments are when he sees players become fine young men. Coach Case has had success on the field and off, enjoying time with his wife Sonja and their four children Alissa, Jocelyn, Samantha and Carson, a who will be a senior this year at Foothill. We have seen his success at Foothill and look forward to another year of Knights Football. Here’s to a great season Coach! Go Knights! Back to Back Champions!
RICHARD UMPHREY | OFFENSIVE LINE | LINEBACKERS
Coach Umphrey has coached football for 24 years, 14 at Foothill, after having success in the NFL playing for the New York Giants and San Diego Chargers. He enjoys spending time with his wife Jackie and children Justin and Noel, but most of all with his grandchildren Stetson, Henley, Wyatt, and Nash. Coach Umphrey says the best part about coaching is developing a positive winning character in young men. He believes we are all “capable of doing more than we believe we can” so he works hard to instill the courage and humility into young men to give them a chance to be successful in life.
ERIC GARCIA | WIDE RECEIVERS
Coach Garcia is in his 15th year of coaching football, the last 8 coaching at his alma mater Foothill. Coach Garcia played seven years in the National Public Safety Football League, making our Football family proud of his accomplishments off the field. Coach Garcia enjoys the opportunity to shape our players for football, and for life. His philosophy is to put your team first and be all in. He and his wife Cathy are proud parents to Foothill alumni Ryann and Bobby, who will be a senior at Foothill. When Coach Garcia isn’t coaching he serves our community fighting fires and listening to music from his favorite band AC/DC, while spending quality time with his fantastic family and friends.
Coach Lanctot has been coaching high school football for 29 years, most of them at Foothill. He enjoys bringing his football knowledge to the field, working hard to make our running backs and defensive backs the best they can be. His philosophy for his players is to always find a way. He and his wife Kristie enjoy spending time together with their children Clinton, Jessie, Maggie and Kevin.
MIKE LANCTOT | RUNNING BACKS
Coach Caldwell has been coaching football with Coach Case for 26 years, the past 20 as a Foothill Knight. Along with his long tenure as a football coach, Coach Caldwell has had success as a college wrestler and coach. He and his wife Stephanie are proud of their daughters Savanna and Sara, proud Foothill alumni. Coach Caldwell says the best part about coaching is when a former player tells you how team athletics made them a successful adult. His philosophy he shares with his players - “Trust in your teammates, never quit and you will be victorious!”

In his 10th year coaching Foothill Football, Coach Mosley brings his college playing experience and football expertise to the field every day. His coaching philosophy is that hard work is the key to success, and he takes pride in encouraging his players to work together as a team. Coach Mosley enjoys cooking, as a teacher and at home, playing golf, and spending time with his wife Raeann are his daughters Stephanie and Vanessa.
KEITH MOSLEY | DEFENSIVE LINE
MATT BAIN | OUTSIDE LINEBACKERS
As a Foothill alum, Coach Bain still bleeds black and gold for Foothill. He is in his 6th year coaching Varsity football, after spending 10 years coaching at the lower levels. Coach Bain pushes his players to think quick and play quick, and he appreciates the opportunity to give to players the opportunities that were given to him. He and his wife Shannon enjoy family time with sons Tanner, and Cody, who will be a sophomore at Foothill. He keeps busy all year – when not coaching football he is on the track coaching Foothill pole vaulters.
Coach Lewis has been part of the Foothill Football family for 13 years. His favorite part of coaching is the journey and the competition, and he encourages his players to hustle at all times! He and his wife Misha enjoy spending time together with children Logan and Makena, likely listening to Coach Lewis’ favorite song "Jump Around” or watching Coach Lewis on another field coaching youth baseball.
JUSTIN LEWIS | DEFENSIVE BACKS
JASON JELLERSON | DEFENSIVE BACKS
Coach Jellerson has been coaching for over 23 years, the past 4 years here at Foothill. He enjoys teaching his players life lessons through the game of football and reminds them to always “DYJ – Do Your Job.” When not coaching football, Jason and his wife Jenni enjoy their time with their own Foothill Knights Easton and Bode. When not coaching football, Coach Jellerson gets back on the field to coach Foothill Lacrosse. Go Knights!
SARAH SANDS | ATHLETIC TRAINER /ALL LEVELS
Sarah has been a certified athletic trainer since 2009. She attended the University of La Verne for her Bachelor’s degree and played collegiate volleyball while she was there. She obtained her Master’s of Science in Athletic Training from California Baptist University. She worked locally at SCAR (Sports Conditioning and Rehabilitation) for 9 years before becoming the athletic trainer at Foothill High School. Sarah will be starting her 3rd year at Foothill as the athletic trainer and her 2nd year as the Kinesiology instructor. Sarah is currently pursuing her Master’s of Education and Teaching Credential. She enjoys working with the athletes, keeping them healthy, and assisting them through their injuries. When she isn’t at work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family and friends and cheering on the Green Bay Packers! Fun fact, she is a Packers owner and loves travelling to Lambeau Field!
